We seek a part-time Usher. Reporting to the Usher Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting, directing and escorting patrons to their rows or seats, distributing programs, providing general direction, and answering questions. Usher candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule which will include weeknights and weekend days/evenings. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and a proactive work-ethic. Knowledge of classical music and prior customer service experience a plus.

The Group Sales department at Carnegie Hall seeks an intern for the Spring. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist with data management. Enter, update, and maintain Group Sales contact information in Tessitura ticketing system

Research and Cultivate relationships with group sales prospects such as Church groups, School groups, Tour Company groups, Clubs, etc.

Outreach/Inform group sales leaders on specific Carnegie Hall concert programming.

Administrative office duties such mailing, faxing, filing, etc.
Intern must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational and communication skills, and be self-motivated. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous experience in tourism/hospitality and knowledge of music a plus. Intern must have the ability to work twenty hours a week.

Carnegie Hall seeks an intern for spring to assist the development department with daily operations including drafting correspondence, prospect research, administrative tasks, and full involvement in and exposure to fundraising at major performing arts institution, with tasks specific to area of focus: Special Events, Individual Giving, Government and Corporate Sponsorship.
Activities include:
Assist with data management. This includes web-based and telephone research of to identify and update contact information; maintaining the prospect management system for focus area; and other miscellaneous tasks
Assist with special event planning and implementation.
Administrative office duties such mailing, faxing, filing, etc.
Assist in grant writing and program development as needed.
Assist in prospect research and cultivation.
Assist with general Departmental projects as needed including phone duty.
Candidates considering a career in fundraising and/or arts administration are encouraged to apply. Must be able to commit to twenty hours per week. Applicants must have strong writing skills, computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel, and excellent communication and organization skills. A meal and transportation stipend is offered.

We seek an Intern for Carnegie Hall’s Visitor Services Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordinating daily volunteer tasks, assisting with daily tours, helping patrons and customers via phone and e-mail, database management. Prior customer service experience and excellent communication skills preferred. 2-3 days per week required.
