Community Outreach

Corporations seeking to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve have the opportunity to be a part of Carnegie Hall's growing roster of the innovative education and outreach programs of the Weill Music Institute. Making its artistic resources available to a broad and diverse population is a priority for Carnegie Hall, and corporate support of these initiatives strengthens the Hall's ability to address this concern. Since Walter Damrosch conducted the very first "Young People's Concert" in 1891, Carnegie Hall has been committed to teaching people of all ages about music. As the largest adjunct provider of music education in New York City, the Weill Music Institute presents a full range of educational events to more than 60,000 individuals annually including:
  • Concerts for families
  • Workshops for teachers and musicians
  • Programs for students and schools
  • Distance learning and web-based education programs
  • A popular series of free neighborhood concerts throughout the five boroughs of New York City
