The Song Continues!
Celebrating Marilyn Horne at Carnegie Hall

On Sunday, January 23, 2011, Carnegie Hall proudly paid tribute to trustee and music legend Marilyn Horne. The Song Continues! Celebrating Marilyn Horne at Carnegie Hall honored Marilyn on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of her Carnegie Hall debut, and for her inspiring dedication to the development and advancement of young singers.

After an intimate dinner in Carnegie Hall’s Rohatyn Room hosted by trustee and Gala Chair Ann Ziff, guests were given a rare opportunity to see Marilyn work with young performers. The Annual Recital featured four new singers, all of whom have been mentored by Marilyn herself. Joined by special guest soprano Christine Brewer, the recital was a true celebration of the art of song. Guests ended the night at an exclusive Champagne and dessert cast party with the artists.
