Robert Spano and the Berlioz Requiem
In partnership with the National High School Choir Festival

For singers of all ages

Representing a unique partnership between top choral professionals from around the world and some of the nation's best high school choruses, this workshop allows participants to explore and perform Hector Berlioz's Requiem with conductor Robert Spano and choral preparer Norman Mackenzie of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

The workshop week will include rehearsals, conducting master classes, and score preparation sessions with Mr. Mackenzie and Mr. Spano and culminates on Sunday, February 13, 2011 with a performance of the Requiem with the Orchestra of St. Luke's and tenor Thomas Cooley.

This workshop is open to choral professionals internationally. Accepted applicants receive a stipend for travel and accommodation in New York City.
