    Carnegie Hall honors Bill Cunningham for his extraordinary devotion to chronicling fashion for nearly 50 years, as well as inspiring philantropy and recognizing the important place that arts, culture, and non-profit causes hold in the life of New York City.

    The Sound of Music Gala on April 24, 2012 at 8 PM
    One of the most beloved musicals of all time, The Sound of Music is based on a true story of love, faith, and the von Trapp family singers of Salzburg, Austria in 1938. Its magnificent score features favorites such as “My Favorite Things,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” “Climb Every Mountain,” “Edelweiss,” and of course, “The Sound of Music.”
