More
With members of the outstanding Metropolitan Opera orchestra, Levine has been introducing Carnegie Hall audiences to undeservedly ignored music for years. Here he conducts Satie’s cool, tranquil 1918 setting of texts by Plato on Socrates and music by Pierre Boulez that lurches between lethargy and hyperactivity.
