Community Sing: Young People's Chorus of New York City
Schomburg Center
Fierce talent, sparkling enthusiasm, dynamic energy: Young People’s Chorus of New York City is one of the world’s leading children’s choruses, known for celebrating the diversity of its members and surrounding community. The choristers have traveled the world to bring back a festive array of music for you to enjoy, explore, and join in singing: music from the Dominican Republic, China, and African communities of the Caribbean, along with traditional African American spirituals. It all happens here at the Schomburg Center, one of the world’s foremost research libraries devoted to African history and culture studies.
