Neighborhood Concert: The Parker Quartet

Flushing Town Hall
The Parker Quartet is staking its place as a major player on the music scene with a “lucidity and poise” that belies its youth (The New York Times). It’s brought classical music to wildly untraditional venues, and enthusiastically embraces collaborations with jazz, folk, and world-music artists. For this concert, the Parker Quartet combines Haydn and Brahms with the brilliant and bracing music of Hungarian composer György Kurtág.
