• Spring For Music 2012

In May 2012, Spring For Music’s second-annual festival at Carnegie Hall hosts six orchestras over six consecutive days, May 7–12.

The selected orchestras for 2012 are from Alabama, New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and western Canada. The eclectic programs include works by living composers, Ives's Universe Symphony in a realization by Larry Austin, Martinů’s rarely performed Symphony No. 1, and Chen Qigang’s hypnotic Iris dévoilée, as well as an all-Shostakovich program, Debussy's La mer, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
